Less Invasive Ventricular Enhancement
Attack the Cause of Heart Failure Progression

New Hope for Heart Failure Patients.

Introducing a less invasive heart failure treatment from BioVentrix.

A revolutionary procedure called Less Invasive Ventricular Enhancement (LIVE™) offers a new treatment option for patients suffering from ischemic cardiomyopathy. The Revivent-TC™ TransCatheter Ventricular Enhancement System is a safer and less invasive alternative to surgical ventricular remodeling. It was developed for the purpose of excluding discrete Left Ventricle (LV) scar, thereby reconfiguring abnormal cardiac geometry that leads to dysfunction. Wall tension is reduced by excluding the non-contractile, scarred portion of the ventricular wall, resulting in restoration of LV morphology through radius reduction.

The Revivent-TC™ System micro-anchors are implanted into the myocardium under fluoroscopic imaging and echocardiographic guidance. The procedure is performed by an Interventional Cardiologist and a Cardiothoracic Surgeon without a ventriculotomy or cardiopulmonary bypass. The Revivent TC™ System utilizes a closed chest approach and does not require displacement of the heart from its normal anatomic position.

A cascade of positive clinical outcomes

Clinical trials have demonstrated that once the volume of the LV is reduced, a cascade of positive clinical outcomes follows almost immediately. Durable significant improvements across six clinically validated outcome measures lasting beyond one-year follow-up were reported.1
